Finding the best rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a rental home:
- To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose dates and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. 7th-floor oceanfront studio with AC, pool, & hot tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property owner before booking the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. Call the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
