Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have deals for local tours and attractions.
Make a plan and pick the perfectrental:
- Start by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Updated 2 Bedroom \/ 2 Bath Ocean View Condo Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, browse properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Advice for your stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review.
