Finding the best rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning and choosing the perfectrental home:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 10th Floor Oceanfront Snowbird Friendly Condo w\/ WiFi, Shared Pool\/Hot Tub, AC has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
