How to get the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to your spending budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Planning and picking your prefectrental:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. 8th-floor oceanfront studio with central AC and Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

During your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
