Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Get the best rental value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines have deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
How to select the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- To start, have your group choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. 9th-floor ocean-view studio with pool, hot tub, WiFi & gym - snowbird-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More considerations:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. text the host immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
