Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • To get the best value, consider shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 9th-floor oceanfront condo with pool, hot tub, W\/D, & AC has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is right for your family.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • During arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
