Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
Getting the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the best rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 3br Deluxe Condo Family Fun on Myrtle Beach! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, contact the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
