Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Filter your rental search:

  • Start by choosing the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 9th-floor oceanfront studio near beach with pool\/hot tub access - dog-friendly has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.

During your stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. text the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
