How to book the best rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and choosing yourvacation home:
- Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 9th Floor Partial Coast View Studio w\/ WiFi, Pool\/Hot Tub, AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- At Check-in, note any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
