Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 9th Floor Partial Coast View Studio w\/ WiFi, Pool\/Hot Tub, AC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
