Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.
Selecting and booking yourrental home:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Amazing 180 degree Atlantic Ocean and beach views. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- During arrival, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
