Myrtle Beach vacation rental booking tips:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. A105 Myrtle Beach Resort Spectacular Ocean Front Condo has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
