Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, change your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Amazing Newly Renovated Atlantica Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
