Vacation rental tips and tricks:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your vacation in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your rental Search:
- First, have your family decide on a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Amazing Views - Ocean Front 3BR Condo! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property owner before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you simply love, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
