Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to pick the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Shore Bliss - 2bedroom\/2bath Condo - Shore Dr Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the property management company before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.

  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • During arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
