Finding the best vacation home experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Some hosts offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- To start, have your family commit to a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Arcadian Dunes Shore Drive 2\/2 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your trip.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
