Tips and Tricks to get the best rental home experience:

When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Anderson Ocean Club spacious 1 bedroom luxury condo with on site spa Jacuzzi tub has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is best for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of concerns.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
