Tips to get the optimal rental experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your Search:
- Select your dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Seawatch 2BR\/2BA South Tower Ocean View Condo - Fantastic Resort Myrtle Beach SC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, contact the host before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
