Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Luxury Ocean Front 2 Bedroom, 18th Floor at Bayview Resort, Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
