Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by choosing the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Angelfish Haven - Sands Oceanfront Luxury Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
