Myrtle Beach rental home tips:
Sticking to a budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the perfect rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose your dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Quiet Beach access Myrtle Beach Condo Rental has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. message the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
