Tips to get the optimal vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your Search:
- First and foremost, have your family choose date ranges and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Quiet Beach access Myrtle Beach Condo Rental has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
