Tips to get the best vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- First and foremost, have your group select vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean Lakes Site 1105 A, 2-bed 2-bath Just steps to the beach, sleeps 6 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
