Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- To get the best value, consider changing your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Filter your search:
- Choose your vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Beach Getaway Queen Efficiency 15th Floor has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before booking the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your invoice.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
