Strategies to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- To find the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book your prefectvacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Just steps away from the beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
During your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
