Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Beach House at Oceanside Village with A View of the Ocean has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your family.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
