Tips for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a rental home:
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to select the best rental home:
- Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Beach House; New kitchen, Golf Cart included has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
