How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best value:
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best rental home within your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Narrow your Search:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Beach house, ocean view has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or applied to your agreement.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
