Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beach Life Oceanfront Efficiency Tides 108 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or applied to your contract.
Tips for your stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
