Strategies to get the perfect vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Begin by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Gem: 1st Floor Oceanfront Room with Pool Perks has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your group.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
