Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- To find the best value, try shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking a perfectrental home:
- Begin by selecting your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beachy Sea Glass Tower, 1 Bedroom Deluxe- Ocean Front View, 25 Steps from WaterC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, email or call the host before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Call the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
