Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Finding the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on the best dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Beautiful\/relaxing 1br\/1bath renovated Tennis Villa condo at Ocean Creek Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
