Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the rightvacation home:
- Choose vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful 2 Bedroom Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
