Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your vacation home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • To start, have your group agree to date ranges and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Beautiful 4 Bedroom Home in Perfect Location in Ocean Lakes Golfers Welcome! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for a wonderful stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
