Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- To get the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Beautiful condo close to the beach and many area attractions. - Carol Bay 403 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. - Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
