Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting and booking the bestrental home:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Beautiful Condo! Direct Oceanfront - 1 bedroom, 1 bath - Atlantica 200 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Tips for a smooth stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
