Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- First, have your family commit to trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Beautiful Condo! Direct Oceanfront - 1 bedroom, 1 bath - Atlantica 200 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
