Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Gorgeous,REMODELED,Family Friendly,Oceanfront,3 Bedroom Condo,Pool @Anchorage 2 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
