Strategies to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront_Corner _3BR__Stately Decor_Roomy_Stunning Views_Family Friendly has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
