Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean Forest Villas Unit D116 - Ocean view has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs applied to your invoice.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you love, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
Have a great stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
