Tips to get the very best vacation property experience:
When to visit & When to book:
- To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing the perfect vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your group commit to dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Amazing OCEAN FRONT Views! Newly Renovated! Walking Distance to All Myrtle. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
