Myrtle Beach rental home tips:

Finding the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to choose the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Amazing OCEAN FRONT Views! Newly Renovated! Walking Distance to All Myrtle. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your contract.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
