Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect vacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Amazing OCEAN FRONT Views! Newly Renovated! Walking Distance to All Myrtle. has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If not, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you love, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
