How to find the best rental experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- First, have your group select the best dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Beautiful Ocean Front Double Queen Suite - Sea Mist Resort 20905 - Perfect for 2-4 guests! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the host before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
