Tricks and tips to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
How to get the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Beautiful oceanview 1 bedroom with king bed, full kitchen, and water amenities has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. Otherwise, call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is right for your family.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- Does your group require unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
