Tricks and tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental:
- Begin by choosing a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Penthouse Beachfront 22-23rd Floors-Fully Remodeled 2022 Very Quiet Neighborhood has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Lock your rental while you are away. Protect your property!
- Upon arrival, note any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
