Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Getting the best value:
- To get the best rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting the perfect rental home:
- Begin by choosing trip dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beautiful Suite with an Ocean Front View has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective.
