How to book the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the best vacation rental:
- Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Best LOCATION in OCEAN LAKES!!! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, email or call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
