Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.
How to pick the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Salty Vibes 2 story, 4 bedroom, 3 bath house on corner lot has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- To make certain damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. text the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
