Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal SC. To find the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick a perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Best reviews. Super clean! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your group.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
