How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by selecting potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Book now for the Super Summer..family, fun, golf, shop, and dining! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
