Tips to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. T510 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Beautifully Decorated Ocean View Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a great stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
