Tips to get the very best rental experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the best rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Planning and choosing your prefectrental:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Breathtaking 4\/4 Condo w\/ Two Oceanfront Balconies - by Luxury Beach Rentals has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. text the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
