Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your rental home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
Finding the best vacation home in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your family agree to vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Dogwood Dunes Property has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach attraction you crave, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
- Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
