Strategies for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Summertime is high season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Finding the perfect rental home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. \"Brighton Your View\" - Beautiful Direct Oceanfront Corner Unit at Brighton Tower has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation family.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Document any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
